The story behind UrduCraft.

Urdu, made simple. Taught by a native speaker who believes the language deserves warmth, culture, and a beginner-friendly welcome.

Meet your teacher

Assalam-o-alaikum, I'm Syeda

Founder and teacher at UrduCraft.

I was born in Islamabad and have spent most of my life in the UK. For the past six years I have been teaching Urdu privately to British students: heritage learners, complete beginners, pre-wedding learners, and everyone in between.

My approach has always been simple: teach real language for real situations. No textbook overwhelm. No rote memorisation of grammar rules you will never use. Just the words, phrases, and confidence you need to actually speak.

I started UrduCraft because I believe Urdu deserves to be taught properly, with the cultural depth and the warmth it carries. If you have ever felt like Urdu was just out of reach, I am here to change that.
